Model-specific camera cages that turn a body with one tripod thread into a rig with mounting points for monitor, mic, transmitter and handle.
How to choose a camera cage
Fit the exact body. Cages are machined to a specific camera. A cage for one generation will not clear the ports, battery door or screen hinge of the next. Filter by model, always.
Full cage or half cage. A half cage adds a top plate and a few threads and keeps the camera light. A full cage surrounds the body, protects it and gives mounting on all four sides. Add weight only where you need points.
Port access. Check that the cage leaves the battery door, card slot and flip-out screen usable. HDMI cable clamps matter more than they sound: a cage that clamps the cable protects the camera's port from a yank.
Mounting standard. ARRI 3/8"-16 locating pins stop accessories rotating; NATO rails let handles slide on and off in seconds; Arca-Swiss and Falcam F38/F22 plates move the whole rig between tripod and gimbal. Pick one and stay on it.
