How to choose an HDMI cable and the rest
Get the connector right at both ends. Micro, mini and full-size HDMI are three different plugs, and most mirrorless cameras use micro. Atomos's locking cables come specified by both ends for this reason.
Rating, not thickness. A 4K60 HDR cable states that on the label. For long SDI runs, the coaxial rating decides how far 12G will actually travel.
Locking where it matters. A camera-mounted cable that can be pulled out mid-take should lock. Locking HDMI and screw-down power connectors exist because gaffer tape is not a strategy.
Power cables are not generic. D-Tap to dummy battery cables are camera-specific — SmallRig makes separate parts for Sony NP-FZ100, Canon LP-E6NH and dual-sided NP-F. Aputure's head cables (5-pin weatherproof, 8-pin, 10-pin) are fixture-specific and come in stated lengths.
Length discipline. Shorter is better for signal and for the floor. Buy the length you need plus one margin step, not a 5 m cable for a 1 m run.
