Aputure Imaging Industries was founded in 2005 in Shenzhen by a group of filmmakers who wanted cinema-grade lights they could actually buy. The company's own About page still frames the origin that way: professional LED lighting at a price working crews could carry, not a rental-house exclusive.

Headquarters remain in Longhua, Shenzhen, with offices listed in Glendale (USA), Almere (Netherlands), Singapore and Kawasaki (Japan). The India entity is Aputure India Pvt. Ltd. (Bengaluru, incorporated 2019), trading as Apertured Distribution from the same Indiranagar building — Country Manager Mredul Mani is a director of that company. The line we actually ingest is LED and modifiers: Light Storm COBs (LS 60 through LS 1200d Pro), the STORM family (80c through XT52), Electro Storm fixtures, Nova panels, INFINIBAR tubes, and the MC Pro on-camera light. Amaran and Deity sit with the same India entity; they are not this catalog slug.
