Overhead brackets, turntables and lights for a brand or studio shooting repeatable SKU videos — hero spins and pack shots.

What you need

  1. A key light and a softbox.

One COB (RC 60B or Aputure LS 60x) in a matching softbox, slightly above the lens. Glossy cartons need a large source; a bare LED is a specular mess. A 32 in reflector on the fill side before a second head.

  2. An overhead bracket.

SmallRig desk overhead bracket (4324) or CT25 overhead tripod puts the camera square to the table. A tilted top-down is what makes a listing look amateur.

  3. A 360° turntable.

SmallRig 12 in motorized turntable (4807) for hero spins. Hands rotating the SKU do not scale.

  4. A locked camera position.

Tripod or overhead rig, not handheld. Bring your own camera: 50–90 mm equivalent, taped manual focus, clean HDMI if you monitor. A phone in the overhead clamp is a valid starter. Mirrorless and compact bodies are not a filled shelf.

  5. A pocket fill.

Aputure MC Pro or a SmallRig Vibe panel for a rim on dark products.

  6. Backdrop.

Godox backdrops are in the catalog with no price — enquire. A paper sweep you own is fine on day one.

Notes on this setup

Buy vs enquire

SmallRig lights, overhead brackets, turntable, tripods and Aputure LS 60x / MC Pro are priced and cartable. Godox backdrops and any camera body are enquire. Macro lenses are not a filled first-party line.

Build me a list

Tell us the room, the budget and how many people are on mic. We will send back a costed list for E-commerce product video — usually the same working day.

Questions we get asked

Do I need a cinema camera?

No. A phone in an overhead bracket or a mirrorless with a 50–90 mm macro-capable lens is enough. The light, the turntable and a locked frame do the work.

Turntable or a person rotating the SKU?

A 12 in 360° turntable (SmallRig 4807) is repeatable. Hands in frame are an edit problem on a 200-SKU catalogue.

What light for glossy packaging?

A large soft source — COB in a softbox or a panel — slightly above camera, not a bare bulb. A second light or a 32 in reflector fills the shadow side.

Do you sell a motorized table and a camera together as a kit?

Not as a named kit yet. The turntable, overhead bracket and lights are cartable separately. Camera bodies are bring-your-own.
