Why this kit

A product-video desk is a jig, and a jig is judged on repeatability, not on image quality. The turntable is the hero item because a smooth 360° spin is the one shot that scales: hands rotating a carton is an edit problem the moment you pass twenty products. The overhead bracket clamps to the table rather than standing on the floor, which keeps the camera square to the surface and keeps legs out of the light path. The RC 30B is small on purpose: on a table you bounce the key into the 32 in reflector and get a large soft source close to the product, which is the only way glossy packaging photographs without a specular streak down the middle. The camera is a Canon R50 with its kit zoom: at 505 g it is well inside the bracket's 2 kg rating, and it runs on USB-C power (Canon lists USB power for it), so an all-day SKU run is not broken by battery swaps; the bracket's phone clamp still takes a phone for vertical cut-downs.
