Build it yourself: what you need

  1. Wireless microphones for the priest and the speakers.

A clip-on on the priest holds a constant mouth distance while he moves around the murti, and one handheld covers announcements and guest speakers: RØDE on 2.4 GHz in the kits, with a headworn GLX-D+ earset and SLX-D+ rack handhelds on a quote. In the starter and better kits the RØDE mics feed the stream, not the hall speakers: keep the PA mics for the room and bring the PA mix into the switcher. In the pro kit the clip-ons go through the PA mixer. Either way keep the receiver in clear sight of the priest, and expect stone walls and a crowd to shorten the range.

  2. PTZ cameras on darshan and on the stage.

One OBSBOT Tail 2 on the sanctum axis, framed once and left on a preset, is the shot people actually come for. A second on the vyas peeth or stage covers pravachan and cultural programmes. Its 5x optical lens means each camera sits within about 15 m of what it frames. PoE+ carries power and control on the same cable, which is what makes a pillar or ceiling mount practical without an operator.

  3. A switcher that also streams.

ATEM Mini Pro ISO streams to YouTube or Facebook in hardware over its own Ethernet port, so a laptop crash does not end the aarti feed; Mini Extreme when there are more than four inputs.

    See all Video switchers
  4. Light for the sanctum and the stage.

Deepam, oil lamps and spotlights are warm and uneven, and a camera in a dark garbhagriha gains up into noise. One COB (amaran 200x S, Halo 300x at stage scale) bounced off a wall or through a dome lifts faces without flattening the murti. Mount it high and off the aarti and havan axis: camphor smoke and incense soot collect on any fixture that pulls air through its head, so plan a clean of the fan grille and lens after the festival.

    See all LED lights
  5. Intercom for the volunteers.

An add-on on a quote, since the kits run from one table. Solidcom C1 is two headsets talking to each other with no base station. C1 Pro as the team grows to a stage manager; M1 beltpacks when the sanctum, the stage and the control table are far apart on a festival ground.

    See all Intercom
  6. Power and cable for a long day.

A festival day outruns everything that is not on mains: put the switcher and cameras on mains with a UPS, and keep V-mount packs (VB99 under 100 Wh for travel, an add-on) for camera-side gear that needs them. HDMI is reliable to about 15 m; past that use the Tail 2's SDI output on BNC.

Price and lead time

Kits show a final price, sourced to order and dispatched in 14 to 21 working days. Items on a quote get price and lead time on the quote. Hall speakers, amplifiers and room DSP are quoted per temple through Pro Desk, along with SDI gear for an open festival ground. Questions we get asked

Can we stream to YouTube and Facebook at the same time?

Not from one ATEM Mini Pro. Its hardware streaming engine sends one destination at a time. For two, either add a second encoder or push the single stream to a restream service and let that service fan it out.

Do you sell speakers and amplifiers for the mandir PA?

Hall speakers and amplifiers are quoted per temple: tell the Pro Desk what PA you have now. The kits take a feed from the PA you already have, and the pro kit's clip-on receiver plugs into its mixer. We supply equipment only; fitting is done by your own team or local installer.

Where do the cameras go?

One PTZ on the sanctum axis for darshan, framed once and left on a preset, and one on the vyas peeth or stage for pravachan and cultural programmes. A third only when a festival stage is a different room.

Handheld or lavalier for the priest?

A headworn or lavalier keeps a constant mouth distance while the priest bends, turns and moves around the murti — a handheld cannot. Keep one handheld for announcements and for guest speakers.

Which wireless band works in India?

The RØDE mics in all three kits run in 2.4 GHz, which is licence-exempt, so they avoid the UHF band question. The SLX-D+ rack handhelds, an add-on on a quote, are UHF: have your installer check the band at your site.

Is this a purchase or a quote?

All three kits show a final price and go in the cart, and you can download a quotation PDF for a committee PO. SDI runs across an open festival ground, PA and DSP are quoted through Pro Desk. We supply equipment only, without installation.
