The Aputure STORM 1200x utilizes the BLAIR (Blue/Lime/Amber/Indigo/Red) light engine, delivering the highest quality white light and greatest +/- green adjustability of any LED technology. The BLAIR light engine's indigo emitters enhance fluorescing materials like natural daylight and tungsten sources.

Color Tuning Control

The revolutionary BLAIR light engine can also output saturated colors across more than 70% of Rec.2020 color space using Limited HSIC+ and x,y control modes. Achieve deep crimson sunsets, rich sodium vapor ambers, and subtle color effects without gels.

ProLock Locking Bowens Mount

The ProLock Locking Bowens mount holds modifiers and optics rigidly in place. On STORM lamps, even the heaviest modifiers stay secure and properly aligned.

Best Color Adjustability

The BLAIR light engine enables the STORM 1200x to offer a greater range of CCT than traditional bi-colors and is the first light of its kind to offer 100% +/- Green control, the full ASC MITC range of adjustment.

Precision Low-End Dimming

Bit-depth control is increased for improved low-end dimming. This enables the STORM 1200x to use PWM dimming all the way down to 0.1% without shifts or dropoff. Color accuracy is maintained throughout the brightness range, even at extreme low brightness levels.

The STORM lights feature the ProLock Locking Bowens Mount, a more secure clamping design for attaching modifiers. Bowens accessories are held rigidly in place and precision optics such as fresnels and spotlight projectors are precisely aligned with the light engine.

IP65 Weather Protection

Head-to-toe IP65 dust and weather protection means the STORM 1200x can work in extreme environments. Seals on every connector and around components allow not only the lamphead but also the control box and cabling to be used outside in the rain.

The STORM 1200x features all of the professional connectivity options used in modern lighting: CRMX, DMX512 in and out, sACN and Art-Net over etherCON, and Sidus Mesh.
