Mackie

Mackie is a professional audio brand founded in 1989 by Greg Mackie in Edmonds, Washington (Mackie Designs, Inc.; some records date the company to 1988). Headquarters are in Bothell, Washington. Greg Mackie sold his controlling interest in 2003; the parent was renamed LOUD Technologies, later LOUD Audio. In December 2023 Freedman Electronics acquired LOUD Audio. Mackie is now part of The Freedman Group, with RØDE, APHEX, Event, SoundField and Lectrosonics (acquired May 2025). The line covers ProFX analog mixers with USB, Thump and Thrash powered loudspeakers, CR Creative Reference desktop monitors, and content-creation mixers such as DLZ Creator.
