Temples and religious institutions

A mandir, gurudwara, math or ashram that puts darshan, aarti and pravachan online, run by a committee and volunteers rather than a hired crew. The day is long — a 5 a.m. mangala aarti and a late-night utsav programme are the same day — and the audio matters more than the camera count.

Typical system

One auto-tracking PTZ on PoE+, framed once on the sanctum axis and left on a preset, is the shot the stream exists for. An ATEM Mini Pro takes that HDMI and streams to YouTube or Facebook on its own Ethernet port, so the feed does not depend on a volunteer's laptop. Audio is a rack BLX with an SM58 for announcements and a BLX bodypack with a CVL lavalier on the priest, feeding the temple's existing PA as well as the switcher.

Two cameras is where the stream becomes a programme: matching A-Eye 4K 12x heads on the sanctum and the vyas peeth, a joystick with presets so a volunteer recalls a frame instead of hunting for it, an eight-input Extreme, GLX-D+ on 2.4 GHz for the handheld, C1 Pro intercom, and one mains COB bounced into the garbhagriha so faces are lit without flattening the deity's own lamps.

A festival hall or an open ground is SDI. HDMI is unreliable past about 15 m; a Micro Converter BiDirectional 12G at each head takes the run to BNC. Television Studio HD8 in the rack records the programme as an archive, a Streaming Encoder HD puts it out with no computer in the path, a headworn GLX-D+ carries the pravachan, and Solidcom M1 beltpacks reach the sanctum, the stage and the control table.

Hall speakers and amplifiers are quoted per temple — tell us what PA you have now. The microphones here feed the PA you have. Mounts, conduit, the cable pull and fitting are not included; your own team or local installer handles those. Shop the temple live setup for priced kits.

What to send us

Send the hall dimensions and ceiling height, where a camera can be mounted without blocking a sightline to the deity, what PA and amplifier are already installed, whether festival days move to an outdoor stage, and the city. Pro Desk replies with a named parts list and a quotation PDF, prices including GST.

Three reference builds
