Why this kit

One interview, one chair, and the two things that get it wrong are office downlights and the camera's own microphone. The RC 100B is bi-colour rather than daylight-only because a boardroom has its own colour temperature and matching it is faster than gelling against it; the RA-D30 is its listed softbox, which keeps the key soft and just above eye line without a speedring problem. The stand is air-cushioned for a specific reason: a light head directly over a seated person is the single place in this kit where a dropping column matters. The Wireless ME removes cable entirely, which in a borrowed meeting room means no gaffer tape across the floor and no permission to ask. The headphones are not an afterthought: a clipped lav sounds fine on a camera meter and terrible in the edit, and this is the one item that catches it on take one. The camera is a Canon R50 V with its 14–30 mm power zoom: 4K, a 3.5 mm mic input for the wireless receiver, the headphone socket the plain R50 does not have, and USB power from the wall (Canon lists USB power for the R50 V), so a long answer is not cut off by a flat battery.
