Why this kit
A lecture room has no operator, so auto-tracking is the whole product: the OBSBOT Tail 2 keeps the lecturer in frame as they move between the board and the lectern. Its 5x optical lens suits a classroom or small hall, within about 15 m of the board; a larger room needs the Pro tier. Putting the streaming in hardware rather than on a room PC means the capture starts even when nobody logs in, which is the difference between a system that gets used and one that gets abandoned. The ATEM Mini Pro ISO does that over Ethernet and records to a USB drive, and its spare inputs take the room PC's slides. The clip-on is specified over a ceiling mic because intelligibility in a reverberant lecture hall is a distance problem, not a microphone-quality problem. It runs on 2.4 GHz, which shares the air with the campus Wi-Fi, so keep the receiver in clear sight of the lecturer.
