Why this kit
The usual reason a home studio stalls is that it only does one thing. This one does three from the same room. For video, the R50 V's wider power zoom solves the small-room problem where a kit lens makes you sit against the far wall. For voice, a dynamic mic on an arm with closed headphones gets close, broadcast-sounding speech even in a room with no treatment, which a condenser cannot do. For scripted pieces, the prompter keeps your eyes on the lens. Two lights let you shape the face and separate it from the wall, and because both are Bowens mount, softboxes swap freely between them.
