Why this kit
A recorder-console removes the separate interface from a two-person build: both mics, both headphones and the recording all live in one box on the table. The P4next's 70 dB of gain is enough for a low-output dynamic like the PodMic, and its compressor and noise reduction work before anything reaches the card. Two PodMics keep both chairs on the same capsule and voicing, which means one EQ move fixes both channels. Both are cardioid dynamics, the right choice when two people share a hard-surfaced room. Each chair gets its own headphone volume, so nobody has to listen at someone else's level, and the two spare inputs take a third or fourth voice later.
