"Sirui have made a really accessible entry point into anamorphic, which gets you the look and feel of cinema, without being over the top stylised, and without breaking the budget. The Saturn V2 lenses are easy to use, and look great!"

"I’ve always been fascinated by anamorphic lenses, and I’ve used quite a few SIRUI anamorphic lenses over the years. What I love about these is the organic feel they give to the image — less clinical and sharp, with a beautiful character that feels more cinematic and alive. And the fact that I can now shoot true vertical anamorphic is the cherry on top, giving me a level of flexibility I haven’t found in any other lens."

"When shooting vertically with traditional anamorphic lenses, your flares and bokeh end up aligned vertically as well. However, with this new design from the all-new Saturn Version 2s, you can actually rotate the lens to ensure your flares and oval bokeh remain horizontal. This gives you ultimate versatility—allowing you to comfortably crop horizontally or vertically to match your needs, all thanks to its square image capture."

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I switch between horizontal and vertical shooting?

Flip the switch, rotate the lens 90 degrees, and lock it into position. Saturn V2 switches between horizontal and vertical shooting without changing lenses.
What aspect ratios can I get in horizontal and vertical modes?

With its 1.6x constant squeeze ratio, Saturn V2 delivers approximately 0.9:1 from a 9:16 frame and 1.07:1 from a 2:3 frame after desqueeze. In horizontal mode, 16:9 becomes 2.84:1 and 3:2 becomes 2.4:1.
What are the benefits of Saturn V2 vertical anamorphic shooting?

With its 1.6x constant squeeze ratio, Saturn V2 delivers a wider, more complete frame for vertical content while preserving the signature anamorphic look. Compared with a standard lens, it produces greater spatial depth, oval bokeh, and natural horizontal light streaks for a more cinematic image.
Which focal length should I use?

Choose 35mm for wide scenes and establishing shots, 50mm for street scenes and documentary work, and 75mm for portraits, character shots, and narrative close-ups.
Who is Saturn V2 built for?

Built for filmmakers, content creators, and small production teams, Saturn V2 combines a lightweight design with professional anamorphic performance. It is designed for handheld, gimbal, shoulder mount, slider, and drone setups, giving solo creators more flexibility on set.
What types of content is Saturn V2 ideal for?

Saturn V2 is ideal for films, music videos, and travel content, while its vertical shooting capability expands creative options for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and more.
