Why this kit
The single biggest jump in stream quality is replacing the webcam with a camera, and that needs exactly one part: an HDMI-to-USB converter. The RØDE converter does it at 1080p60 with no drivers, so the camera appears as a normal capture device. The PodMic USB is specified rather than a USB-only mic because it has XLR and USB outputs, so the same mic survives a later move to a mixer or a RØDECaster without being replaced. The RC 60B Lite with its matching softbox is the key; its internal battery means the desk does not need a second mains run for a short show, and USB-C PD keeps it going for a long one. The camera is a Canon R50 V: its 14–30 mm power zoom is wide enough for a desk-distance frame, it has a live-stream button, and it runs from the USB-C charger (Canon lists USB power for the R50 V), so a long stream does not end on a flat battery.
