Why this kit
This is the tier that assumes you have done something about the room, because a condenser is only an upgrade once the room is quieter than the voice. The NT1 Signature's 4 dBA of self-noise is what an ASMR creator or an audiobook narrator is paying for: the quiet between the words stays quiet. Its SM6 shock mount comes in the box because desk knocks and floor traffic arrive through the stand, not the air, and a condenser hears them at a level a dynamic does not. Four inputs on the P4next are the point of the interface upgrade: dubbing is rarely a solo activity, and a second channel with its own headphone volume means the director or the second voice does not have to wait for a re-patch. The full boom arm lets the microphone sit off the axis of the mouth, which is the cheapest plosive control there is.
