Pro Desk

Broadcast and control room

A small control room, a campus studio, a truck path that is not a full OB. SDI in the rack. HDMI only at the edge.

Broadcast and control room

Typical system

The cartable core is Blackmagic: an ATEM Mini Pro for four HDMI sources and a hardware stream, a Micro Converter SDI to HDMI 3G wherever a display still speaks HDMI, a HyperDeck Studio HD Mini as the record deck, Solidcom C1 for two operators.

A real rack is Television Studio HD8 (eight SDI in, recorder on board), 12G bidirectional converters at the camera, MultiView 4, an A-Eye 4K 12x as a locked or remotely driven head, Solidcom C1 Pro when more than two people are on comms.

Studio-camera scale is URSA Broadcast G2 (or a Sony HDC chain — locked quote, not a cart), ATEM Television Studio 4K8, HyperDeck Extreme 8K HDR, Cosmo C1 for a long hop, Solidcom M1 base plus beltpacks, A-Eye 4K 20x for a robotic wide. HDC / Ikegami / Hitachi chains, large routers, EVS and Lawo stay on the locked quote list and never enter checkout.

Converters and small switchers can still be bought as boxes from live production. The room is a Pro Desk BOM.

What to send us

Send input count (HDMI vs SDI), whether you need ISO or a single program record, camera type, and the city. Pro Desk replies with a parts list and a quotation PDF. HDC-class chains are quoted, never carted.

Three reference builds

Starting points, not fixed packages. Send a build to the Pro Desk and we quote it as one list, with a quotation PDF you can raise a PO on.
